This semester got off to an incredible start! Here is a quick look at how we kicked off the term:
Quad Day & Open House: We connected with hundreds of students over tie-dye on the Quad, then welcomed new faces to our open house at The 303.

I walk the quad nearly every day, and over the past couple of weeks, there’s been a noticeable rise in students back on campus. It’s even starting to get harder to find a good seat to work in the Union! All of this means one thing: campus will soon be full once again.

The sidewalks that were overflowing with students just over a month ago are now quiet. Most residence halls are empty, classrooms are silent, and finding a parking spot has suddenly become easy (except around the multiple construction sites!)
That doesn’t mean the campus is completely asleep. Throughout the summer, I occasionally see youth camps visiting, prospective students and their families touring campus during freshman orientation days, and future Illini imagining what life here might look like. It’s a reminder that another semester – and another opportunity to reach students with the Gospel – is just around the corner.

As we look ahead to the 2026–2027 school year at UIUC, there is a sense of anticipation in the air. God is putting some incredible pieces together for the Fall, starting with a fantastic, energized team of young student officers who are already dreaming big for our campus ministry.

The end of the school year is just around the corner. Some of our students are wrapping things up with little left to complete, while others are in the thick of finals, papers, and long hours of studying.
